The Belgrade Manifesto
The Belgrade Manifesto is a response to the current crisis

in arthouse cinema: shrinking finance, over-controlling

bureaucracies and, above all, the stagnation of cinematic

language. It argues that the new low-cost digital technology

offers filmmakers the chance to bypass existing structures

and find new ways to make and exhibit films that can revitalise cinema.

 

 

The Manifesto was presentedat the Belgrade Festival of Auteur Film on Sunday 2nd December 2007.
